New electronic devices by Victorinox Swiss Army

At this year's international Consumer Electronic Show held last month, Victorinox Swiss Army introduced four new products to extend their very popular Swiss Flash line of USB thumb drive storage devices. Here's the rundown:
  • Victorinox Remote - Combines the Swiss Army Knife form and utility with a dual channel transmitter capable of controlling a home garage door and other products operating on a high-frequency receiver. Scheduled for mid-2010.
  • Victorinox Presentation Master - High performance, removable USB flash drive with secure data encryption, fingerprint authentication, laser pointer, and up to 32GB storage - all built into a Swiss Army Knife form. This piece features Bluetooth remote control for controlling notebook or PC such as when advancing PowerPoint slides. Victorinox will also be shipping this in an airport-friendly version without blades. Supports PCs, but does not support Macintosh.
  • Victorinox Secure - Swiss Army Knife featuring a removable USB flash drive with secure data encryption, fingerprint authentication and up to 32GB storage. This will be available in an airport-friendly version without blades. Supports PCs, but not Macintosh.
  • Victorinox Flash - New and improved device (previously known as SwissFlash) that combines form and functionality of a Swiss Army Knife with a USB flash drive offering up to 32Gb of memory. Also available in airport-friendly version. Works on PCs and Macintosh. As with SwissFlash there will be different models available including one with an integrated laser pointer, and models in metal Alox housing. Availability scheduled for March (subject to change).
We expect to post photos of these new products very soon. Once we have firmer ship dates we will likely accept pre-orders, too.

UPDATE: Now Shipping the Presentation Master, Victorinox Secure & Victorinox Flash. (May, 2011).
